Andy Imparato Welcomes the GU Certificate in Early Intervention 2015-2016 Cohort (DC UCEDD)

October 2, 2015

The 2015-2016 cohort of the GU Certificate in Early Intervention program was welcomed by Andy Imparao, Executive Director of the AUCD. Andy met with the students during lunch providing them with a "birds-eye" view of disability policy. The event was part of the two-day orientation to the GU Certificate in Early Intervention program. Participants of the program include all members of the interdisciplinary team of early intervention service providers. This year's cohort includes a physician from the United Arab Emirates, an early childhood teacher from Mexico, and the Director of an early intervention program in Lebanon in addition to early intervention practitioners from the DC area.

The orientation is the kick-off event for the Certificate Program. The Certificate in Early Intervention prepares evidence-based service providers and professional leaders to advocate for infants, toddlers, and young children with disabilities or delays to receive community-based services and supports.
