Today The US Supreme Court released a decision in the King v. Burwell case, which challenged a portion of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Said AUCD Executive Director Andrew J. Imparato, "AUCD is thrilled that the U.S. Supreme Court's opinion released today will allow approximately 6.4 million individuals to continue to receive subsidies that will allow them to purchase health care in the marketplaces established by the Federal government for States. The Affordable Care Act has allowed millions of individuals and families with children with disabilities to access affordable health care that was not available to them before this law passed. We are pleased that the Court today recognized how important it is to help this law survive."
