April is for #AutismAwareness and #AutismAcceptance

During the month of April, AUCD joins people with autism, their families, and those who serve and support them to increase public acceptance and appreciation of the needs of individuals with autism and their families, and recognition of the diverse range of abilities and talents people with autism possess.

Central office staff will be using Facebook (@AUCDnetwork) and Twitter (@AUCDnews) to show how network members across the country are positively impacting the lives of individuals with autism, their families, and their communities - with a focus on the entire lifespan.

The four "categories" of posts will correspond with a different color:

• Data and research (red)
• Identification and intervention (orange)
• Family support and resources (green)
• Policy and advocacy (blue)

Within each of these categories, we will highlight the voices of people with autism and their family members, organizational partnerships, training materials, community events, resources, and legislative efforts.  Make sure to follow AUCD on social media, stay tuned to your newsfeed, and use the #AutismAwareness and #AutismAcceptance hashtags all month long!  Every post will be archived on the AUCD website.
