For Your Lifetime of Leadership and Service
and Your Dedication to People with Disabilities and Their Families

"AUCD has a track record of attracting talented individuals to the disability field at the start of their careers who then go on to make lifetime contributions to policy and practice. Andy Bacon is perhaps the exemplar of this tradition, having begun her contribution as a graduate student in 1974 and now can look back on almost 40 years experience as a UCEDD director. Dr. Bacon has led the Institute since 1985 and has authored or co-authored several successful state and federal grants to support interdisciplinary training, outreach, technical assistance, and program development."
