The AUCD Young Professional Award is presented to a person in the field of disabilities under the age of 40 who has demonstrated dedication and commitment to people with developmental disabilities and their families through work as a bridge between the academic sector and the community.

“In the 9 years since Zach completed his PhD in clinical psychology, he has become a recognized leader in Tennessee and nationally on autism spectrum disorder diagnosis, clinical services, training for families and professionals, and research. Supporting families is at the heart of Zach’s efforts, and his work is truly a bridge between academia and the community. Zach’s breadth and depth of service, leadership, and scholarship so early in his career are making positive differences in the lives of children and youth with autism and other developmental disorders and their families at local, state, and national levels.”
