University of Baltimore School of Law 2014 Platinum Pro Bono Service Award (MD UCEDD)

One of the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilitie's law trainees, Caitlin Biggins, a third year student at the University of Baltimore School of Law, received the Platinum Pro Bono Service Award for her 170 hours of community service at Project HEAL (Health, Education,Advocacy, and Law). This honor is awarded to distinguished law students who demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality legal services to persons of limited means, and have provide more than 100 pro bono hours to clients.

Caitlin provided 140 hours of services during her Fall 2013 externship and earned three course credits. Caitlin returned as a volunteer for the Spring of 2014, and she provided over 175 pro bono hours toward her honor. After completing the Maryland bar examination in July 2014, Caitlin will be clerk for Judge Edward R. K. Hargadon in the 8th Circuit Court of Maryland. Caitlin is a passionate advocate for children with disabilites and committed to public service.
