This informational session about the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) will discuss the largest limited electronic health record data set in the US and opportunities for collaborative research within the AUCD network as part of the Lifespan Disability Domain. The N3C aims to improve the efficiency and accessibility of analyses using a very large patient-level COVID-19 clinical dataset and demonstrate a novel approach for collaborative pandemic data sharing.

Meet the Coaches: Implementing the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Action Plan

In this webinar, we will share about AUCD's Language and Communications Access Plan and lessons learned from the first two years of implementation. From 2019-2021, the UCEDD Resource Center (URC) supported a pilot implementing the plan, with the creation of the Plain Language Advisory Group and Spanish Language Caucus. Join us to learn about the work of both groups, what the URC has learned in its efforts to improve the language and communications accessibility of its technical assistance, and how this might apply to the work at your center or program.

Presenters from The Ohio State University (OSU) Nisonger Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) will provide an overview of knowledge translation (KT), discuss general methods and specific strategies to conduct KT activities with stakeholders, and describe their research project's KT model and process. Storytelling is an empowering technique to share one's stories and deliver messages. Individuals with disabilities, families, and allies often use storytelling to amplify their voices. This strategy uses audio, images, or video to engage with an audience creatively. Workshop participants will learn and apply skills in digital storytelling to communicate their unique experiences as trainees. This workshop was an AUCD 2021 Post-Conference event for emerging leaders.
