Webinar Description

The National Training Directors Council (NTDC) hosted an interactive discussion on recruiting and supporting diverse trainees within your training programs. The panel highlighted three training programs in the AUCD Network with experience recruiting and supporting diverse trainees, including trainees across states, trainees utilizing distance learning, trainees with lived experience and finally, second-year trainees.

At the end of the discussion, participants:

  • identified successful strategies for recruitment of diverse trainees;
  • identified best practices for supporting trainees throughout their training program and beyond; and
  • brainstormed solutions to challenges in recruiting diverse trainees.

This is an event sponsored by AUCD's National Training Directors Council and the Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center (ITAC) on Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
