Event Agenda
Building upon the AUCD2020 Conference, AUCD is convening a series of facilitated conversations to explroe Directors' perspectives on what equity is in the developmental disabilities field, what opportunities and challenges exist, and how the network should describe equity.
This year's Directors Retreat will be a virtual event for targeted conversations about equity, diversity, & inclusion; and culturally competent collaboration. This will be AUCD's inaugural Directors Retreat inviting leadership from all three university-based interdisciplinary programs in the AUCD network: UCEDDs, LENDs, and IDDRCs.
This Directors Retreat will provide an opportunity for LEND, UCEDD, and IDDRC leaders to discuss critical questions and practices for addressing equity within centers and in work with the community. The first session will feature a fishbowl conversation and panels about notable work happening this area.
The second session will build on the material from session one to explore culturally competent collaboration and community engagement.
Who should attend?
The Directors Retreat is an AUCD membership meeting for network leadership to problem solve with peers and discuss topics of critical importance to the network without the presence of federal funders. Directors from IDDRCs, LEND,s and UCEDDs are invited to attend.
Where is the session taking place?
This event will be held over zoom.
