This installment of the Admin Essentials Series will focus on the topic of hiring and managing staff and volunteers who are under guardianship. We will discuss practices, policies, and resources about employment of people under guardianship. We will be joined by Cathy Costanzo and Anna Krieger from the Center for Public Representation, who will speak on the basics of guardianship nationally, how it applies to the employment of people with disabilities, and where to look in your state for more information.
The Admin Essentials Series is a series of virtual round table discussions on pressing administrative questions. It's perfect for UCEDD Directors and Business Managers who are interested in an action-oriented discussion space to problem solve through tough administrative challenges. Each installment will include content from seasoned experts. A tip sheet of resources, strategies, and lessons learned will be developed and disseminated following each discussion.
What is the purpose of this session?
This roundtable discussion will convene UCEDD Directors, Business Managers, and other relevant staff to discuss how UCEDDs are hiring and managing staff under guardianship. Cathy Costanzo and Anna Krieger from the Center for Public Representation will serve as content experts to inform the conversation. Resources on the topic of inclusive management practices for people under guardianship will be shared during the meeting. A tip sheet of resources from this discussion will also be made available following the session.

This network call will take place over zoom-- around our virtual "roundtable."
Who should participate?
The meeting is open to all UCEDD network members (particularly UCEDD Directors, Business Managers, and other administrative staff).
