About this Webinar:
Graphic recording and facilitation is the use of large scale imagery to lead groups and individuals towards a goal. The method is used in various processes such as meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences.
A Webinar from AUCD's Community Education and Dissemination Council (CEDC)

- Why is this movement important?
- Ideas on how to digitally present graphics.
- How can we find a graphic facilitator locally? How can the network get plugged in locally?
- If self-advocates are interested, how do they get started in this area? How do become one?
Presenter: Inky Brittany
Brittany grew up in beautiful Savannah, Georgia in the family dry cleaning business and graduated from Calvary Day School. During school years, she loved to write and spent a lot of time doodling and cartooning her friends and teachers.
She attended Georgia College in Milledgeville where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, concentrating in philosophy and rhetoric. After completing a 2-month internship in Dharamsala with Badlav Ki Aur, a Women's empowerment & literacy NGO in northern India, she returned to Georgia & began to build a background in public work and community organizing through being involved with the Midway YES after-school program, the Georgia War Veterans Home, and various faith communities in the mid-central part of the state.
In 2012, she became the coordinator of Oconee Area Citizen Advocacy, a community organization that brings together a person with a disability and a fellow citizen who will act as an ally and spokesperson, helping to create opportunities for people to live, work, and make friends outside of the world of disability services.
Also in 2012, Brittany attended a workshop at the Toronto Summer Institute for Inclusion where she learned about graphic recording, the use of large-scale visual imagery to communicate and help lead groups and individuals through a process.
Over the next several months, she began trying out the skill of capturing meetings visually in front of groups of people. The network of people requesting this service grew into the creation of a small business, InkyBrittany, launched on May 22, 2015.
Since then, InkyBrittany's graphic recording & visioning work has been requested across the nation, spanning a range of projects & clients from corporate, to small business, to philanthropic foundations, governmental agencies, public health systems, and the disability advocacy community in Georgia to name a few.
In 2017, Brittany joined the International Forum of Visual Practitioners and was also named to Georgia Trend Magazine's annual 40 Under 40 list of rising entrepreneurs and innovators statewide. She serves on the Board of Directors for Chatham Savannah Citizen Advocacy, and is a trained moderator in public deliberation who has worked with the Kettering Foundation & The National Issues Forums.
When she is not graphic recording, Brittany manages a fan page dedicated to Selena Quintanilla Perez @SelenaSavannah on Facebook & Instagram, and loves sharing Selena's legacy and staying connected to the Queen of Tejano's international fan community.
