Minority Women's Health Summit

Abstract

Join the National Women's Health Information Center at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) at the Minority Women's Health Summit. The theme of this year's summit is "Addressing Disparities, Acknowledging Resilience, Providing Actions for Success" an audit will address the unique health issues experienced by women who reflect disparities in the U.S. population. Its attendees will include community leaders representing all racial/ethnic populations, rural and urban communities, immigrant and migrant populations, and disabled communities. The event will provide tools that can be implemented by all participants in their communities. Among the scheduled topics are: obesity, mental health, gynecological cancers, HIV/AIDS, and obesity.
