States need robust data systems to be able to address youth violence and injury with facts and targeted interventions. In this DataSpeak, three experts will speak to the importance of data and the various ways that public data can be used to monitor and create policy to address youth violence and injury trends.

Presentations will be made by:

  • George Bahouth, ScD, Director of the Children's Safety Network, Economic and Data Analysis Resource Center (CSN-EDARC) at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation
  • Jenifer Cartland, PhD, Director of the Child Health Data Lab (CHDL) at the Ann and Robert H. Children's Hospital of Chicago
  • Deborah Azrael, PhD, Director of Research for the Harvard Youth Violence Prevention Center
