2012 Disability Policy Seminar Trainee Symposium & Reception
4:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Washington, DC
All trainees are invited to attend the 2012 DPS. Sponsored by AUCD and 4 other major disability organizations, the Policy Seminar provides an in-depth examination of legislative issues affecting people with disabilities, their families, and communities. The over 600 attendees also spend an entire day on Capitol Hill meeting with their elected officials to discuss these issues.
On Sunday evening, AUCD is hosting a special Trainee Symposium and Reception. From 4-7pm, Hill staffers will provide a behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to live and work on Capitol Hill and share the ins and outs of some current legislative items, and trainees will have plenty of time to meet others from around the country. This is a one of a kind session you don't want to miss!
