Reimbursement
Each MCHB-funded LEND program is eligible for partial travel and lodging reimbursement for attending this meeting. Only one reimbursement amount is allowed per program. (Multiple reimbursements of less than or equal to said amounts may be allowed, however each program cannot go over their allotment.)
- Eastern and Central Time Zone LENDs: $250
- Mountain, Pacific, and Hawaiian Time Zone LENDs: $350

About the Meeting
The Spring 2009 LEND Directors Meeting was held April 29-30, 2009, at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. All LEND Directors were encouraged to attend.
This meeting immediately followed the 2009 Disability Policy Seminar. Many Directors took the opportunity to join others in the disability community on the morning of April 29 and visited their elected officials to educate them about the importance of legislation that affects people with disabilities and their families, including funding for training for health professionals in Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
