Community-Based Meetings on IDEA

Tuesday, September 26, 2006- Tuesday, November 14, 2006

To provide the public with an overview of the new Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) regulations, the U.S. Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) will host eight free community-based public meetings across the country. Each meeting will begin with a reception at which Assistant Secretary Hager and Director Posny will meet informally with attendees. The reception will be followed by a presentation about the regulations, including information about the regulations and the IDEA Web site and an opportunity to ask questions about the regulations and OSERS' implementation plans. Prior registration is not required. For complete information, visit the Department of Education Web Page .
