The Interns will also cover the importance of staying connected to AUCD and the Emerging Leaders Community.=0D=0A=0D=0APresenters=0D=0A=0D=0AKiki Oyetunji, MD, MBA =0D=0A2020-2021 Emerging Leaders Intern=0D=0AUniversity of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, KS=0D=0AAderonke (Kiki) Oyetunji is a second-year LEND fellow at the University of Kansas Medical Center and the new Emerging Leaders, Events Intern. As a physician and an aspiring child psychiatrist with interest and experience in behavioral sciences and epigenetics research, Kiki is also serving within the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) Title V program as an intern in the Bureau of Family Health. Following a diagnosis warranting an Individualized Educational Plan targeting behavior and attention in her son at the age of 3, Kiki has developed a passion for childhood mental health. She hopes to provide an all-inclusive healthcare model for children with this form of disability. Her focus is on better understanding social determinants and related factors that impact access to comprehensive and continuous care and the resources available in aiding access to affordable care and services for this population. Kiki enjoys early morning runs, traveling to, and cooking meals from different countries.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AJessica Huddleston=0D=0A2020-2021 Emerging Leaders Intern=0D=0AUniversity of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, =0D=0AOklahoma City, OK=0D=0AJessica Huddleston is the Emerging Leaders, Communications and Engagement Intern for 2020-2021. She is currently working on her Doctorate of Audiology at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Jessica is a LEND fellow from the OKLEND program and is currently beginning her role as an advanced LEND trainee. Her passion includes working with individuals who have neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. She enjoys learning more about educational policy and advocacy so that she can empower self-advocates to advocate for themselves. As a person with hearing loss, Jessica enjoys working with families that have just received a diagnosis of hearing loss and are figuring out a path forward to success. Jessica hopes to work as a pediatric audiologist and serve on an interdisciplinary team. When she is not working she enjoys decorating cookies and drinking coffee with friends. =0D=0A=0D=0A =0D=0A=0D=0AJohn Tschida, MPP =0D=0AExeuctive Director=0D=0AAssociation of University Centers on Disabilities=0D=0AJohn Tschida, MPP, is the executive director of the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD). He has spent more than 20 years using data and research to drive policy change and service development for individuals with disabilities. Before joining AUCD in February of 2017 as associate executive director, he was appointed as director if the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.
