Through the work of the Center for Leadership in Disability (CLD) and our partners at Tools for Life Georgia's AT Act program, and disABILITY Link, a Center for Independent Living, we are developing accessible posters. Professional posters tend to be highly visual, text heavy with small font, include technical language, and require individuals to be comfortable standing next to the presenter while reading the poster. This may result in professional posters being inaccessible for many individuals. Creating accessible posters through having them with less words, larger fonts, plain language, in a format for text to speech, we want to make research more accessible to all.=0D=0A=0D=0ASince 2015, Dr. Erin Vinoski Thomas, Susanna Miller-Raines, MSW, and other team members have been working on creating an accessible academic poster template. The latest edition was finalized in Fall 2019, and they will be sharing their template and rationale on this webinar.=0D=0A=0D=0AThis is a webinar by sponsored by AUCD's Community Education & Dissemination Council and AUCD 2020 Conference.=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0APresenters:=0D=0A=0D=0ASusanna Miller Raines is the UCEDD Operations Coordinator and a Community Support Specialist for the Center for Leadership in Disability in the School of Public Health at Georgia State University.
