Now, there are other options and pathways to attain great careers, including inclusive apprenticeships. This presentation aims to educate workforce post-secondary and workforce development professionals about the advantages of building public/private partnerships in emerging high-demand, high-growth industries, Including information technology, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing as a workforce strategy to expand inclusive apprenticeship on-ramps for underrepresented populations, including youth and adults with disabilities focused on reskilling, upskilling, and pipelining talent to address the middle skills gap widened by the adoption of new technologies. The presenters will highlight the U.S. Department of Labor's Apprenticeship Inclusion Models (AIM) initiative, examine inclusive apprenticeship investments, and discuss the differences between an internship and a pre-apprenticeship and Registered Apprenticeship Program.
