During the last 19 years, Terri has held various leadership roles in Early Childhood Education. She has been a Family Services Coordinator and Program Manager for the National Head Start Association. She also was the Director of a historic NAEYC accredited Preschool and Kindergarten. At the state level, Terri was the Program Manager for the state's Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System. Currently, she is an Education and Outreach Manager with the UNM Center for Development and Disability. For the past four years, Terri has led the development and implementation of the New Mexico Public Education Department's Tiered Quality Rating and Improvement System- FOCUS: Essential Elements of Quality for State Funded Preschool Programs. The criteria holds as its foundational element the full participation of each child. She firmly believes that the early years are critical and the foundation of physical, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive development. Terri is an advocate for each child's full participation in his or her learning experience.Robin Jones, MPA, =0D=0AInstructor, Great Lakes ADA Center Director=0D=0AInstitute on Disability and Human Development (IL UCEDD)=0D=0A=0D=0ARobin is the Director and PI of the Great Lakes ADA Center a program of the IL UCEDD located within the Institute on Disability and Human Development (IDHD). Robin coordinates and facilitates the training conducted by the Great Lakes ADA Center which is also part of the ADA National Network. Her previous experience includes working as an Occupational Therapist at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Assistant to the Head of the Occupational Therapy Department at UIC.Lex Owen, MSW, =0D=0AResearch Specialist in Developmental Disabilities, =0D=0AInstitute on Disability and Human Development (IL UCEDD)=0D=0A=0D=0ALex is a works part time as Research Specialist at the IL UCEDD, the Institute on Disability and Human Development (IDHD). Lex facilitates trainings, conducts research and coordinates NIRS data collection for the Center. She is also pursuing her PhD in Disability Studies. Her dissertation explores how dynamics of cell-free DNA screening tests impact constructions of risk, family-making and disability. Sarah McConnell, LCSW, =0D=0ABehavioral Health Training Coordinator, =0D=0ACenter for Human Development Alaska Training Cooperative (AK UCEDD)=0D=0A=0D=0ASarah McConnell, LCSW, has made her home in Fairbanks, Alaska for over 26 years, and for five years lived seasonally in Anaktuvuk Pass, home of the Nunamiut Inupiat, far above the Arctic Circle. She is a Behavioral Health Training Coordinator for University of Alaska Anchorage, Center for Human Development Alaska Training Cooperative, serving behavioral health training needs throughout Alaska via distance delivery formats and travel to remote Alaska Native villages for collaborative trainings. She is an Alaska Gatekeepers/QPR Institute Master Trainer.
