Each day, 33 infants are born in the United States with significant hearing loss, making it the most frequently occurring birth defect. The impact of delayed diagnosis and intervention in children with hearing loss compromises speech, language, cognitive and social skills.=0D=0A=0D=0AFunded through the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), the AUCD LEND Pediatric Audiology Training Program has enabled 11 LEND programs to increase the didactic content and clinical experience offered to trainees in pediatric audiology. =0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0A=0D=0AThis webinar series identifed activities designed to promote leadership, cultural diversity, interdisciplinary collaboration, and family centered services among pediatric audiology trainees.
