Summary:This webinar provided an overview of the importance of planning for transitions as well as the most recent technical assistance activities around UCEDD Director transitions. In response to requests across the network AUCD completed a series of interviews with middle- and upper-management at UCEDDs who have recently experienced director transition. Successful themes and trends determined from these interviews were presented during the webinar. This webinar also presented the recently completed transition guide created by a workgroup of UCEDD leaders to inform university search practices for UCEDD directors. Duration:1 hour

UCEDD Annual Report Logic Model and Proposed Performance Measures

It will also provide an overview of ADD's proposed annual performance measures based on this logic model. Implementation is anticipated for FY2013. There will be ample opportunity for questions, and participants are encouraged to review materials in advance of the webinar. AUCD will collect comments related to methods and format for data collection to inform these proposed annual performance measures, and request volunteers to complete final activities related to this process. The Results are In: Using Early Childhood Outcome Data

Presenters:Dr. Kathy Hebbeler Summary:In February 2011, state agencies overseeing early intervention and preschool special education submitted required data on child outcomes to the Office of Special Education Programs for the fourth time. The background for the national data collection will be presented along with the approaches states are using to collect these data. Analyses of the nationaldata will be shared and discussed with particular attention to the questions of whether the data are trustworthy and, if so, what these data say about the effectiveness of IDEA services for young children with disabilities.
