Summary:This quarter's Act Early Network Webinar will highlight the work of pediatricians to integrate "Learn the Signs. Act Early." resources and tools into their surveillance and screening practices within Federally Qualified Health Center settings. Federally Qualified Health Centers are community-based health providers that receive funds from the Human Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Health Center Program to provide primary care services in underserved areas.

AIR-P Presents: Addressing Reproductive Health and Obstetrics/Gynecology Health Care in Autistic Adults
Details
Summary:Dr. Jennifer Ames from the AIR-P Gender, Sexuality, and Reproductive Health Research Node, will describe ongoing research examining reproductive health and obstetrics/gynecology health care gaps for autistic people, inclusive of female, transgender, and gender-diverse identities. The presentation will focus on topics such OB/GYN clinic visits, cervical cancer screenings, and use of hormonal contraception, with particular attention to differences across sociodemographic characteristics. Future work investigating obstetric care quality and pregnancy experiences will also be discussed.

Admin Essentials: MOUs and University-UCEDD Relationships

Summary:Recognizing that 42 UCEDDs are reapplying for the UCEDD core grant in the coming year, this installment of the Admin Essentials Series will focus on MOUs and the relationships between universities and UCEDDs. The session will start by reviewing findings from the upcoming URC report on MOUs and University-UCEDD relationships (report to be released early August) and then open up for a conversation on strategies, promising practices, and considerations.

Person-Centered Supports for Vaccine Access

Summary:No Wrong Door (NWD) programs and grantees have a key role to play in supporting people to gain needed information to navigate and take action in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency. This includes supporting people to take action that is supported by public health guidance, including accessing the COVID-19 vaccine. Applying a person-centered lens, it is critical to help people have the information they need and to balance what is "important to" and what is "important for" them.

Disability and Health Data System (DHDS): Using Data to Take Action

Opportunities with the National COVID Cohort Collaborative

Summary:This informational session about the National COVID Cohort Collaborative (N3C) will discuss the largest limited electronic health record data set in the US and opportunities for collaborative research within the AUCD network as part of the Lifespan Disability Domain. The N3C aims to improve the efficiency and accessibility of analyses using a very large patient-level COVID-19 clinical dataset and demonstrate a novel approach for collaborative pandemic data sharing.
