Educational Opportunities
New Disabilities Studies Courses at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension. In the coming year, UCLA Extension will offer courses in Disability Studies, an emerging interdisciplinary area that is increasingly recognized by institutions of higher education across the country. The following courses are designed to engage policy makers and planners, health care advocates, people with professional and personal experiences with disability, human resource personnel, and legal experts.
- Fall 2006: Disability and Public Policy. Policy Studies: 4 units
- Winter 2007: Disability, Family, and Community: Special Topics in Sociology. Sociology 4 units
