AAMR to Change Name to AAIDD. The membership of AAMR has voted to adopt the name American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The formal change will take about six months given all the official paperwork changes that will be necessary (securing changes in 501c3 certification, Post Office mailing permits, etc.). Look for an unveiling in January 2007.
