REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION OR ASSISTANCE

Use of Technology Survey.  The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center of the Advancement of Cognitive Technologies (RERC-ACT), in association with the Institute on Disability and Human Development (IL UCEDD) is sending out this survey to find out the needs and use of cognitive technologies by people with disabilities and their families.  The information gathered through this survey will help create better technologies in the future for people with disabilities.  Visit the RERC-ACT Technology Survey webpage to participate.

American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) Seeking New Members.  AAHD is a membership organization comprised of consumers, researchers, health care professionals, policy advocates, educators and interested members of the general public.  Memberships in AAHD are for one year.  In celebration of the launching of its new Disability and Health Journal, AAHD is offering individual and affiliate memberships (subscription to the journal is a benefit of membership) at reduced rates until December 31, 2007.  Interested candidates are encouraged to apply through AAHD’s Online Membership Form.   In addition, AAHD is seeking submissions for the Journal.  The Journal’s anticipated release will be during the 2008 winter season.  Visit the Disability and Health Journal webpage for further information about the submission process.
