2007 Disability Policy Seminar Follow-up. Attendance at the 2007 Disability Policy Seminar reached historic proportions. From March 4 through 6, more than 600 people from around the country–a record turnout for the Seminar–gathered at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill to advocate for preserving and strengthening federal disability policies and programs. On the final day, hundreds went to Capitol Hill to meet with their Senators and House Members to ensure that the new 110th Congress is held accountable on issues affecting people with disabilities and their families. Since the Seminar concluded on March 6, the following updates were made to the Disability Policy Seminar section of The Arc’s new Web site:

Copies of the fact sheets summarizing the critical national legislative issues facing people with disabilities, which were provided to Seminar attendees, are still available. Visit the 2007 Disability Policy Seminar section on The Arc’s new Web site. Thanks to all the advocates, family members, friends, supporters, state and local chapters of The Arc, United Cerebral Palsy, AAIDD, AUCD and NACDD for participating in this tremendously successful event and for making it the best attended in its 20-year history.
