REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION OR ASSISTANCE

Center on Human Development and Disability (WA UCEDD): Evaluation of the Bayely-III Tool.  The UCEDD is currently evaluating the new Bayley-III and trying to implement a strategy to integrate this tool into the curriculum.  The following inquiries are posed:

  • Is anyone currently using this assessment?
  • What roadblocks did you encounter transitioning from the BSID-II to the Bayley-III?
  • Did your clinic or facility use any training tools to educate the staff?
  • Are you using any ‘cue-cards' or did you revise what you use for recording scores during testing to make administration of the test easier?
  • Did you find it easier to administer test items in the order given or did you try to group items by the child/infant's position?

Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Please direct any responses to Nan Krueger, Occupational Therapist.  Thank you for your time.

National Association for the Dually Diagnosed (NADD) Seeks Information on Children's Programs.  NADD is interested in learning of new initiatives and existing programs sponsored by state developmental disabilities agencies that address the needs of children with co-existing developmental disabilities and mental illnesses.  Please send a short program description covering eligibility, services provided, funding, collaborations with other agencies and other relevant details to Joan Beasley, PhD. A summary of the responses received will be available upon request.
