The Partnership for People with Disabilities (Partnership) at Virginia Commonwealth University and Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) agree to work collaboratively to meet WIOA Sub Minimum Wage Section 511 Requirements. Scope of Work 1. The Partnership will: a. Recruit, train, and maintain a cadre of approximately trainers (2-4 per region depending on number of people, number of certificate holders, and availability of trainers) to provide scripted training in small groups on career and job planning and follow-up one-to-one consultation that will begin discussions on options for next steps in career planning. b. Develop training materials and products that training associates will use in group training, in one-to-one consultation, and for organizations to post/have available on an ongoing basis. c. Coordinate training and one-to-one consultation days/times with organizations and with training associates. d. Conduct training sessions in groups of 10-20 people (for a total of approximately 100 -125 training sessions) and provide one-to-one consultation to each person receiving subminimum wage (approximately 1,500 - 2,000 people). e. Trainers will: i. Complete necessary forms by Partnership (application, resume, confidentiality, etc.) ii. Participate in train-the-trainer sessions to learn the content for training and consultation sessions iii. Adhere to script as much as possible for training and consultation sessions iv. Provide training in groups of 8-25 (average size - approximately 12-18) v. Engage in a conversation and provide one-to-one consultation vi. Complete forms with each person and obtain signature vii. Obtain copy of legal guardian form (do we need to have a copy or would organization keep this on file?) viii. Answer all questions or get back in touch if cannot answer ix. Leave materials, poster, etc. f. Prepare reports for DARS that track progress and that include forms signed by people following the training and one-to-one sessions. |
