|
Provider agencies - particularly provider agencies that serve individuals with significant disabilities - need to have increased capacity to improve employment outcome. The goals of this project funded by the Department of Health and the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation - are to (a) provide targeted technical assistance individuals with significant disabilities; (b) increase awareness of customized employment utilizing a Discovery process and the ODEP Competency model; (c) information dissemination; (d) provide training addressing identified barriers. National consultants provide side by side mentorship and targeted technical supports. The focus of the project is not simply on employment, but on employment for individuals with the most significant disabilities. Expected benefits include better employment outcomes for individual job seekers, increased capacity for provider agencies and system change in the service delivery system.
