Project Description | |||
Central Community College in Grand Island, NE was awarded a three year grant from the Nurse Education, Practice and Retention Grants Program. The Interdisciplinary Center for Program Evaluation at Munroe-Meyer Institute will evaluate this new program entitled Nursing Synergy Simulations and Critical Thinking Project (NSSCT). NSSCT will engage in a comprehensive integrated series of activities that will focus on developing critical thinking skills for current nurses and student nurses using human patient simulators. Evaluation will be ongoing and include both formative and summative phases, as well as both quantifiable (outcome) and qualitative (process) measures that are directly related to the objectives of the project. A summative evaluation will be conducted at a six-month interval and on an annual basis to provide the collective information needed for year end and other required reports. |
