Brief Description The CLM Farm Project is an innovative approach to providing developmental disability employment services. Students from Madonna Schools Transition and Employment Programs, as well as UNMC/Nebraska Medicine Project Search interns will have the opportunity to learn pre-vocational skills in an integrated community setting. Once there they will work in a specific area of the farm for up to 6 hours per day. Worksite areas consist of: farm animal care, gardening, landscaping, estate sale retail services, and furniture/recycled goods repurposing. Students from the area high school will be at the farm for their community service hours spending time mentoring transition students with developmental disabilities. Senior citizens from retirement communities maintain garden boxes throughout the week.
