Brief Description The State Plan for Ind. Living is required by the Admin for Community Living every 3 years by the IL programs in each state. This year was unique for NE because it was the first time that the SILC and Centers collaborated to identify these and mutually agree on a strategy to address the gaps and strengthen the IL programs. Examples of Goals and Objectives include allocating funding to the 3 Centers for Independent Living and hosting an IL Conference and allocating funding for consumers to apply. In addition, the SPIL names the UCEDD as the Designated State Entity to the SILC and part B dollars. At this time, it makes Nebraska the only UCEDD to serve in this role.
