Vita/Bio

Dr. Carbone is a general pediatrician in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah. He joined the division in 2006. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of California at San Diego in 1997. He was a National Health Service Corp Scholar from 1997 - 2002 , with his service time spent at the El Rio Community Health Center in Tucson, Arizona. He was a pediatrician in private practice from 2003, 2006 with the Children's Primary Care Medical Group in San Diego, California. He currently works at the University of Utah Pediatric Clinic providing primary care to children with a focus on those with disabilities. He also has a consultative clinic through the University of Utah that focuses on the care of children with autism spectrum disorders. He also is a member of an interdisciplinary team at the Utah Department of Health that provides evaluation and long term management services for children with disabilities. Dr. Carbone's academic interest centers around the medical home for children with autism spectrum disorders. He is a former URLEND trainee.
