The program focuses on preparing health professionals to assume leadership roles and develop interdisciplinary team skills, advanced clinical skills, and research skills, in order to meet the complex needs of children with NDRD. Role: Core faculty member ADD UCEDD grant (copy from Dykens' bio) ADD SUMMAR RR019478 ADD Warren Simons Foundation Completed Research Support R01 HD043292-05 Stone (PI) 07/01/03 - 04/30/08 NIH/NICHD Early Social Orienting in Siblings of Children with ASD The development of social orienting behaviors in the domains of affect and attention will be examined longitudinally in two sibling groups: younger siblings of children with autism spectrum disorders and younger siblings of typically-developing children who are CA-matched. Endpoint comparisons between the sibling groups and matched samples of children with autism and with developmental delay will be used to understand the developmental trajectory of social orienting in children at elevated risk for autism. Role: Psychologist GR-07-18081-00 Lee (PI) 07/01/06 - 09/30/07 State of Tennessee Department of Education Tennessee's Early Intervention System, Greater Nashville District TEIS-GN provides service coordination to children (birth to three years) who have developmental disabilities and their families under Part C of IDEA. The PI serves as the liaison between the State Department of Education and Vanderbilt University. Role: PI Rush (PI) 1983 - 2005 Tennessee Perinatal Regionalization Program NICU Follow-up Clinic This program provided developmental and psychoeducational evaluations of children who were born with birthweights < 1500 grams and other special populations (e.g., infants treated with ECMO) as part of follow-up of infants treated in the Vanderbilt NICU.. Wilson (PI) 2000 -2005 Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials This program is part of a multi-center research study and provided developmental and psychological evaluations of children who mothers were HIV positive as part of longitudinal follow-up.
