Vita/Bio
Dr. Wickesberg is an audiologist and a Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist. Dr. Wickesberg began her career with a neuro-otoloy group in San Antonio, where she specialized in intra-operative monitoring of the skull base and spinal cord. As their Director of Audiology she gained extensive experience working with both pediatric and adult cochlear implant recipients. In 2003, she relocated to Houston, where she was employed by a non-profit cochlear implant center. She was awarded the Cochlear Americas Clinical Fellowship Scholarship, allowing her the opportunity to pursue a career in Auditory-Verbal Therapy.
Dr. Wickesberg currently serves as the Director of Audiology at The Center for Hearing and Speech. In addition to her clinical work, she is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston. As one of only 36 audiologists certified in Auditory-Verbal Therapy, Dr. Wickesberg continues to specialize in both fields with a pediatric population. She also shares her clinical expertise nationally and mentors fourth-year Au.D. students, as well as interns in Auditory-Verbal Therapy.
