2018 LEND Directors Meeting

Thursday, June 7, 2018- Friday, June 8, 2018
Location: Bethesda, MD

This was the first of two meetings (the other held in conjunction with the AUCD Conference) for LEND Directors in 2018. The goal was to create opportunities for LEND Directors to network, learn from one another, and engage in collaborative work on topics of mutual interest. The meeting was hosted by AUCD's Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center on Autism and Developmental Disabilities (ITAC), with funding support from MCHB.

Workshops and Group Discussions

The meeting included two 90-minute workshops:

• Workshop A: How can Directors learn from each other to more effectively work toward their program-level objectives?
• Workshop B: How can the network demonstrate our collective impact, lead, and continue to move the needle on broader public health issues?

• The Role of LEND in Developing Leaders with ASD/DD (all participants)

LEND Directors Orientation

Prior to the start of the full meeting, ITAC hosted an in-person LEND Directors Orientation with assistance from MCHB and a handful of veteran network members.  An agenda can be found in the "Download" box on the right side of this page, along with a complete slide deck.  Registered participants received several resource documents in advance, all of which can be accessed via a Dropbox folder that also contains notes from the "Building a Program" breakout discussions that took place during the session.
