2022-2024 AUCD Emerging Leader Board Member

Position Description and Selection

The AUCD Board of Directors is seeking nominations from the network's Emerging Leader community to fill the newly created Emerging Leader Board Member voting position on the Board. The Emerging Leader Board Member will be a voting member on AUCD's national Board of Directors and serve as a representative of the Association and broader AUCD network. This position will bring the voice and perspective of the AUCD Emerging Leader Community, including but not limited to trainees and early career professionals in the network.

2021 Autism Acceptance Month Webinar Series

AUCD's Autism Special Interest Group (SIG) is sponsoring a series of three webinars for Autism Acceptance Month. Topics will range from telehealth to cognitive behavioral therapy to caregiver coaching strategies. We will also host an open house for AUCD network members to learn more about activities of the Autism SIG.

NH-ME LEND Graduate Honored by New Futures With Legislator of The Year Award

Rep. Joelle Martin, NH-ME LEND graduate, was recently honored with the New Hampshire Legislator of the Year award by New Futures, New Hampshire's leading health policy, and advocacy organization. After working for a decade as an executive in publishing, Martin's focus shifted to education and advocacy. As her daughter, who has a life-threatening food allergy, entered preschool, she began to educate her family and school community about severe food allergies. Soon after, she developed an educational program about life-threatening allergies for teachers and staff.

The AUCD Trainee Orientation Modules will help Trainees become more familiar with AUCD: who we are as an organization, our network's history and membership, how trainees can make the most out of their experience, and most importantly: how Trainees "fit" in the network and why their contributions are so important.

AUCD Welcomes Alysa Vos (LoneStar LEND) as the 2015-16 Virtual Trainee

Alysa Vos is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and director of an organization that serves individuals with neurodevelopmental differences in Houston, TX. Alysa became a LoneStar LEND trainee in 2014 where she has worked towards building and sustaining interdisciplinary communication and collaboration and advocacy for persons with neurodevelopmental differences and special healthcare needs. As the Virtual Trainee, Alysa seeks to continue to strengthen the community of trainees within the network, and facilitate the engagement of trainees through information sharing, networking, social media, and other platforms.
