Trainee Handbook

The AUCD Trainee Handbook is intended to be used to support AUCD network trainees with a variety of learning goals. Created by AUCD and members of the National Training Directors Council, this document will provide a consistent approach to accessing information about the network, its history, our federal partners, and the rich resources available to trainees. This handbook is considered a supplement to Trainee Handbooks provided at local programs.



2010 AUCD Awards Nominations

Your help is needed to identify greatness. We know that the individuals and groups of the AUCD Network accomplish magnificent feats each year. The presentation of AUCD Awards is our opportunity to acknowledge some of our best during our annual Awards Ceremony and Gala on Tuesday, November 2. Nominate a deserving individual or program today! AUCD Now Accepting Applications for 2010-2011 Virtual Trainee

Applications are due August 16th!

The AUCD Virtual Trainee will use leadership skills to build relationships and communications among trainees throughout the nationwide AUCD network of UCEDDs and LENDs.



2010 NTDC Council Elections

Three officer positions within the National Training Directors Council (NTDC) are currently up for election. One individual has been nominated for each role. Current NTDC members (only) are asked to review the nominees and vote for the candidates. Ballots are due on July 31.

AUCD Pays Tribute to Eunice Kennedy Shriver, 1921-2009

The Association of University Centers on Disabilities sends its deepest sympathies, prayers, and thoughts of gratitude to the immediate and extended family of Eunice Kennedy Shriver who passed away earlier today. The AUCD network owes its very existence to Mrs. Shriver's concerted efforts with others such as Dr. Robert Cooke to establish research, interdisciplinary training, and model service centers in top flight universities around the country.



2009 Virtual Trainee Recruitment

As part of AUCD's initiative to increase trainee involvement across the network and build future leaders, AUCD is seeking the next Virtual Trainee! This is a paid leadership fellowship opportunity with AUCD.



ITAC: Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center on Autism and Developmental Disabilities

Funded by cooperative agreement from the Health Resources and Services Administration's Maternal and Child Health Bureau, ITAC is one of two technical assistance centers working with programs funded under the Combating Autism Act.
