Early Childhood Personnel Center serves as a national resource on personnel standards, competencies, and recommended practices; The Center will also be assisting States in aligning personnel standards to national professional organization standards for personnel who serve children with disabilities and their families, integrating those standards with standards for EC personnel of all children, and linking those standards to state competencies and certification or licensure requirements; In January 2014 ECPC released a searchable data base of all personnel standards for professional disciplines serving infants and young children (age birth to five) and their families.

All of the standards collected were verified by a two-step procedure was implemented for data collection and verification. The first step involved an internet-based data collection tool that was used to record information while examining state licensure/certification data available from publicly available Internet-based sources (e.g., state department, Part C, and 619 program websites). After concluding internet-based searches, step 2 involved conducting telephone interviews with the Part C and 619 state coordinators use a semi-structured protocol to verify the state personnel standards collected.

The ability of this search engine allows professionals check any state and any discipline for example what is this licensing requirements for an Audiologist in Missouri under either a Masters or Doctorate, after the selections are made the search will provide a list of programs and requirements needed for that license with a link to the website.
