Safe, accessible, reliable, and affordable transportation is a key to the ability of individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those with low income to access health care, education, employment, and community services. But, too often, creating mobility and transportation partnerships is an afterthought in service planning. Mobility management is the practice of developing partnerships across human services and transportation professionals to ensure that communities offer a continuum of accessible mobility options.  The National Center for Mobility Management (NCMM), a technical assistance center funded by the US Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, can help human services and health care professionals identify partnership opportunities to address transportation challenges.
