Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS) National Conference

The University of Cincinnati Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCCEDD) at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital (CCHMC) and the RTS-OKI Family Support Group are the hosts for this event. We are very excited to welcome families of children and adults with RTS from across the country! Parents and caregivers can learn from experts about many important topics, such as: Development with RTS, Managing Behavior, Adult Life, Genetics, RTS Research and many more! Kids and Teens can hang out with friends at our Childcare and Teen Lounge. We will also connect and have some family fun together!

Project ECHO Orientation for UCEDDs/LENDs

Join the Project ECHO Orientation to learn more about the ECHO model and how you can incorporate it into your work as a UCEDD (University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities) or LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) program (or partner organization). Partners at the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities and the Center for Human Development at the University of Alaska Anchorage will share how they are implementing ECHO.

The Mailman Center for Child Development Innovation and Connection Conference will bring experts together to discuss methods that members of an interdisciplinary team, including audiologists, teachers, speech and language pathologists and parents, may use to facilitate the development of self-advocacy skills in children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Specific tools and strategies to support the application of self-advocacy skills across settings (i.e. clinical, educational, social) will be presented.

Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities: 2022 Summer Learning Series

The Community and Professional Development Training Program offered by the Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities (MCDD) at Kennedy Krieger Institute is committed to providing evidence-based training across a broad spectrum of topics to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families. MCDD's 2022 Summer Learning Series will run from June through early August. The series consist of one-hour to three-hour workshops with interdisciplinary topics focused on working with individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities and their families.
