DSTATSRRTC at the University of New Hampshire's Institute on Disability is hosting a four-part virtual release of the Annual Disability Statistics Compendium on February 9-12, 2021, 12:00-1:15 pm. During this webinar series, experts will present three web-based tools (Compendium, Supplement, and State Report) that make finding and using disability statistics easier for individuals working on legislative and other matters relating to persons with disabilities. In addition, we will highlight two special topics: implications of COVID-19 for people with disabilities, and disability and African Americans.

The National Competence Center on Developmental Disabilities (NAKU) of Norway and the North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) of North Dakota, USA are pleased to announce an international opportunity for learning and discussion on Inclusive Supported Employment (also known as Customized Employment). We invite our international colleagues to present on their work on Inclusive Supported Employment, and to attend online sessions and presentations about this important topic. It will culminate in a focused pre-conference on Inclusive Supported Employment in Washington, DC in the fall of 2020.

Disability is an abstract concept, and the landscape is changing, both in terms of disabilities and in societal response to emerging disabilities. This has implications across systems, including early childhood, education, workforce, health care and aging. Kathy Sheppard-Jones, Andy Imparato, and Phil Rumrill will provide an overview of several emerging disabilities (e.g. autoimmune disorders, mental health, opioid use disorders) and will also explore the notion of emerging disabilities from a state and national workforce context.

Each year, AUCD supports the live broadcast of Baylor College of Medicine's Chronic Illness and Disability Conference: Transition from Pediatric to Adult-Based Care. This is a unique and low-cost professional development and learning opportunity for faculty, staff, and trainees from LENDs, DBPs, UCEDDs, and IDDRCs. It can also be a great way to engage community partners, including leaders from self-advocacy and family organizations. CART captioning will be provided for all broadcast sessions.

Dr. Christine Fleming from Auburn University will present information about the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model of supported employment, which is an evidence-based practice that leads to competitive integrated employment outcomes for people with serious mental illness.

On the first Friday of every month, corresponding with the Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report, the Employment Policy and Measurement Rehabilitation and Research Training Center will be offering a live broadcast via Zoom Webinar to share the results of the latest nTIDE findings. In addition, we will provide news and updates from the field of Disability Employment, as well as host an invited panelist who will discuss current disability related findings and events.

The free "Rural VR Job Development" webinar will explore the relationship between VR payment models, geography, and VR outcomes. The webinar will feature a review of current research from the Research and Training Center on Disability in Rural Communities (RTC:Rural), followed by reactions and perspectives from a panel of experts, including VR directors, field service staff, and researchers. The webinar is designed to provide current and pertinent information that will stmulate a rich discussion among participants.

This conference aims to bring together scientists, administrators, and staff from disability programs, and leaders from disability policy and advocacy communities to discuss the state of disability statistics and how to move the field forward.

This event will focus on offering strategies and resources to support the growth and development of inclusive postsecondary education options for students with intellectual disabilities. Presentations will be offered in strands: Program Development, Employment Outcomes, Inclusive Academics, and Policy/Legislation/Research.
