The April LEND and Learn Monthly TA session will be held on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM ET. The topic of this session is Inclusive Postsecondary Education: A Pathway for Leadership Within and Outside the Network. Mrs. Susanna Miller-Raines will share a national overview of IPSE, how to collaborate with existing programs, and how to be a leader in developing programs and services that support higher education for people with intellectual disability.

The LEND Directors Meeting was held at the 2023 AUCD Conference on November 5, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. This is an INVITATION ONLY event. It was an opportunity for leaders in the LEND network (LEND Directors, Associate Directors, Training Directors, ITAC and MCHB staff, etc.) to identify new and emerging technical assistance needs, share information and best practices, engage in MCHB strategic planning, and facilitate meaningful collaboration.

The LEND and Learn session will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 3:00 PM ET. The date of the LEND and Learn event was changed due to the observance of the September holidays. The September session will focus on Title V collaboration and partnership opportunities for LEND programs. The session will be facilitated by Paige Bussanich, Associate Director for Child Health and Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) at The Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs (AMCHP).

This is a private event for LEND Directors and their invited guests. This meeting provides an opportunity for LEND Directors to hear important updates from AUCD and federal funders, as well as discuss issues of importance. We will welcome new LEND programs and directors, have a networking break, and have roundtable discussions.

NIRS Data Coordinators from all Centers and Programs meet quarterly and also have an annual meeting in conjunction with the annual conference. This October 2021 meeting will serve as both the quarterly and annual Data Coordinators meeting and will cover topics of interest to all NIRS users.

This was the first of two meetings (the other held in conjunction with the AUCD Conference) for LEND Directors in 2018. The goal was to create opportunities for LEND Directors to network, learn from one another, and engage in collaborative work on topics of mutual interest. The meeting was hosted by AUCD's Interdisciplinary Technical Assistance Center on Autism and Developmental Disabilities (ITAC), with funding support from MCHB. All LEND Directors (i.e. PIs / PDs) were highly encouraged to attend.

The "Autism Town Hall" event, hosted by SPHARC and ITAC, was held at the 2018 AMCHP Annual Conference in Arlington, VA. It provided a platform for current and former Autism CARES grantees, as well as those working at the state systems level and other community members, to dialogue with national partner organizations and each other about priorities and ideas for how to make progress toward a coordinated, comprehensive system of services for autistic individuals. The event was an opportunity to hear from groups working on ASD/DD issues and discuss ways to promote alignment with existing efforts.
