Reflecting UCEDD Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Commitments in the Core Grant Application

AUCD hosted a webinar in September 2021 on incorporating the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Action Plan into the UCEDD five-year plans. In this follow-up virtual workshop, UCEDD leaders will discuss strategies for demonstrating their ED&I commitments in the needs, evaluation, organizational capacity, and leveraging sections of the core grant application.


Bringing Together Disability & Race: COVID-19 Strategies and Intersectionality

The National COVID-19 Resiliency Network (NRCN) in partnership with the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) will be leading this conversation to identify and engage disproportionately impacted communities on the topic of COVID-19 through a national virtual event.

Prioritizing Decolonization When Engaging with Indigenous Communities

American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN; Indigenous) children are at high risk for neurodevelopmental disorders including developmental delay, learning disabilities, and conduct disorders. Major risk factors, in addition to low socioeconomic status, are the loss of traditional child-rearing practices due to historical trauma, racism, and oppression.

ED&I Action Plan Implementation Coaching Workshop

Join us for a coaching workshop focused on common challenges to implementing the ED&I Action Plan. Learn alongside network peers how to make a more meaningful and sustainable impact at your UCEDD. The workshop will focus on 1) data collection and reporting to measure progress, 2) staff training and development to build capacity, and 3) making and sustaining action of self-assessment data.


Health Equity Trainings for LEND, DBP, & UCEDD Faculty, Staff, & Leadership

The following health equity trainings are available to LEND, DBP, and UCEDD faculty, staff, and leadership. The max capacity for each training date is 40 participants. Trainings are on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is Friday, August 5th. Please note that 3 Continuing Education Contact Hours are available for both trainings.
