No Wrong Door (NWD) programs and grantees have a key role to play in supporting people to gain needed information to navigate and take action in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency. This includes supporting people to take action that is supported by public health guidance, including accessing the COVID-19 vaccine. Applying a person-centered lens, it is critical to help people have the information they need and to balance what is "important to" and what is "important for" them.

This webinar will present lessons learned from a project that seeks to promote vaccine confidence in the disability community during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this student-driven project, supported by an AUCD-CDC Dissemination Innovation Mini-grant, students and trainees from UCLA and LA COVID volunteers conducted a stakeholder engagement strategy to inform communication and dissemination efforts to promote vaccine confidence.

The conference will bring together experts in early childhood development to discuss challenges and opportunities for the care and wellness of young children as they grow up in a pandemic. Speakers will discuss the physical and emotional impacts of COVID-19 on children 0-5 and their families and highlight ways in which early childhood personnel and allied health professionals can better support young children's well-being and development through practice and policy.

Now more than ever it is critical to be an effective public health messenger. As a member of AUCD's network, you are invited to attend a four-part monthly virtual workshop series (April-July 2022) led by a joint collaboration between researchers at UCLA Health and the Hood Medicine Initiative, sponsored by AUCD through a cooperative agreement with CDC.

In this webinar, Dr. Kristen Choi will discuss emerging evidence on using telehealth to deliver therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder (e.g., speech therapy, occupational therapy, applied behavior analysis). Using data from a recent survey of parents in Southern California, the mental health impact of the pandemic on parents and their children will be discussed, as well as how COVID-related stress affected perceptions of telehealth.

Content Development for Social Media will help participants plan messaging campaigns for social media to promote & disseminate public health communications during and post-COVID-19. Content will focus specifically on reaching neurodivergent populations and those with multiple intersectional marginalized identities.
