LEND TA Workshop: The Effectiveness of Interdisciplinary Training

This event is for LEND members who indicated an interest in learning more about The Effectiveness of Interdisciplinary Training as presented by staff from UNC-Chapel Hill. Participants will acquire resources and strategies that will be useful to MCH Training Directors and faculty in their core interdisciplinary leadership programs. Dentistry and Individuals with Special Health Care Needs

This presentation provided an overview of dental care for individuals with special health care needs (pediatric to adult). The presentation included information about unique aspects of providing dental care to individuals with special health care needs, barriers to access to care, the dental home model, as well as a presentation on dental training resources/modules. This presentation included an overview of the National Maternal and Child Oral Health Resource Center.

12th Chronic Illness and Disability Conference: Transition from Pediatric to Adult-based Care

This conference provided a state-of-the-art update on issues involved in health care transition for youth and young adults with chronic illness and disability and their families from pediatric to adult based services. It brought together internationally, nationally and locally-recognized clinical, policy, legal, research, advocacy, youth and family experts, making it a unique conference in the breadth and depth of topics addressing all aspects of transition planning.
