This webinar addressed methods for exploring the background and context of a Center's situation to address the following: The unique contexts UCEDD, have in their university structures; Strategies to identify a UCEDD, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; Strategies for prioritizing issues and identifying possible allies within the university and nationally; and;Strategies for creating, implementing, and monitoring an action plan.

UCEDD Directors topics include 'State of the States: Best Approaches to Advocacy in Current Economic Climate' and 'Developing Partnerships with DD and other State Agencies,' as well as significant networking time. The ADD TA Institute, 'Advancing Partnerships' includes panels on Federal Updates, Health Care Reform, and Critical Issues as well as small group breakout time.

This webinar informed the 42 UCEDDs who will be submitting 5-year applications in the next round of funding. ADD presented application information.

This webinar will provide an overview of the final UCEDD Logic Model that was developed by the Annual Report Workgroup. It will also provide an overview of ADD's proposed annual performance measures based on this logic model. Implementation is anticipated for FY2013. There will be ample opportunity for questions, and participants are encouraged to review materials in advance of the webinar. AUCD will collect comments related to methods and format for data collection to inform these proposed annual performance measures, and request volunteers to complete final activities related to this process.

This webinar provided an overview of the importance of planning for transitions as well as the most recent technical assistance activities around UCEDD Director transitions. In response to requests across the network AUCD completed a series of interviews with middle- and upper-management at UCEDDs who have recently experienced director transition. Successful themes and trends determined from these interviews were presented during the webinar. This webinar also presented the recently completed transition guide created by a workgroup of UCEDD leaders to inform university search practices for UCEDD directors.

This webinar described efforts by consortia of states to develop both regular assessments in which most students with disabilities will participate and alternate assessments based on alternate achievement standards for students with significant cognitive disabilities

AIDD and AUCD presented information related to final reporting and close-out procedures for the UCEDD core grant. There was an opportunity for discussion with participants, and the webinar was recorded and archived.

This webinar will present findings from a series of interviews of UCEDD Directors who have retired or left their program in the past five years and of Directors who have stepped into those positions in that same period.
