AUCD's Autism Special Interest Group (SIG) is sponsoring a series of webinars for Autism Acceptance Month. This webinar series will focus on mentorship and leadership in the Autism Spectrum community.

This webinar discussed the UCEDDs' role in community integration and introduced a new toolkit developed by AUCD that highlights the UCEDDs' specific functions in this area.

This webinar provides an overview of the recently launched Autism Case Training (ACT) Web-based CE course, which provides users with knowledge and skills to improve early identification of children with autism spectrum disorders and ensure timely and appropriate care.

This webinar included feature presentations from trainees within two LEND pediatric audiology programs: Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and Boston Children's Hospital. Case vignettes were presented by LEND audiologists to highlight not only learning within pediatric audiology but how this learning relates to the core competencies of LEND. Cases were chosen by LEND trainees to highlight the complexity of providing appropriate audiological diagnosis and management in light of other medical or social challenges. This webinar is one in a series from MCHB/AUCD LEND Pediatric Audiology Training Programs.

This webinar was a collaborative effort between AUCD's Council on Research and Evaluation (CORE) and the National Association of State Directors of Development Disabilities Services (NASDDDS). The panel discussed on findings from the national core indicator and BRFSS datasets regarding health care access and wellness for people with disabilities and how ethnicity and gender impacts health care. The speakers also discussed policy implications to improve services that promote quality health care outcomes for people with disabilities.

The purpose of this webinar was to provide an overview of the key features of a service delivery model designed to support the full participation of all young children, including those with special needs, in high-quality early childhood settings. Participants became aware of the components in this 9-step consultation process. The model is built on evidence-based practices and reflects the field's consensus about the importance of collaborative consultation.

Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge. These graphics present complex information quickly and clearly, such as in signs, maps, journalism, technical writing, and education. Infographics can improve cognition by utilizing graphics to enhance the human visual system's ability to see patterns and trends. This presentation will provide general information, along with tips on how to create and use infographics.
