Webinar Description:

This webinar celebrated the end of the academic year and shared professional development tips with outgoing and continuing trainees in the Emerging Leaders Community, including advice on staying engaged with the AUCD network. Participants heard from our Emerging Leader Board Member, Aliana Romero, AuD, CCC-A, and AUCD’s Council Trainee Representatives. After this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify opportunities to engage with the AUCD network.
  • Understand the importance of staying connected to your training program.

Photo of Aliana Romero, Emerging Leader Board Member, Latine wearing a beige blouse, has black long hair pulled backAliana Romero AuD, CCC-A, is a pediatric audiologist at the Mailman Center for Child Development, University of Miami. She is the daughter of Cuban and Puerto Rican immigrants and is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Romero received her Doctor of Audiology degree from Nova Southeastern University and a BS in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Exercise Science from Georgia College & State University. She is active in the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Florida Association of Speech-Language-Pathologists & Audiologists. As an audiology extern, she completed the curriculum in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) at the Mailman Center for Child Development.
